Kottayam: The Alumni Association of Caritas College of Nursing organized its 4th General Body and Family Meet, titled “Symphony of Sixty – The Grand Caritas Summit 2026,” on July 11, 2026, at the Caritas Diamond Jubilee Hall.
The event, commemorating six decades of excellence in nursing education at the institution, brought together around 150 alumni from various batches along with their family members.The gathering began with a welcome address by Alumni Association President Mrs. Julia Jose. The inaugural address and keynote speech were delivered by Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath, Director and CEO of Caritas Hospital & Institute of Health Sciences. In his address, he highlighted the remarkable achievements of Caritas College of Nursing and emphasized the institution’s significant contribution to nurturing dedicated nursing professionals committed to serving society.Alumni Association Secretary Mrs. Rony P. George presented the annual report. This was followed by a presentation by Prof. Smitha Paul, UG Coordinator, who spoke about the college’s 60th anniversary celebrations and discussed emerging trends and challenges in nursing education.
As part of the programme, the alumni newsletter “Polestars 4” was officially released, and the new Executive Committee of the Alumni Association was elected. Alumni who had completed their nursing education at Caritas College and are now celebrating their seventieth year were honoured during the function. Several alumni also shared their memories and experiences.
The event featured a variety of cultural performances by students and alumni, adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations. The vote of thanks was proposed by Alumni Association Vice President Mrs. Jeena Maria Thomas.
The Alumni Mega Meet 2026 concluded as a memorable occasion that strengthened lifelong friendships, rekindled cherished memories, and reinforced the enduring bond of the Caritas family.
