Charleroi: The 10th anniversary of the Belgian Migration, established in the name of the Holy Family to guide the Knanaya children who migrated to Belgium from various parts of Kerala for work and study in faith and Knanaya identity, was celebrated on July 8, 2026 at the Espace Auditorium in Charleroi. Fr. Ebin Kamungumparail presided over the Holy Mass. Fr. Roy Wakeparambil delivered the sermon. Then the annual general meeting held under the chairmanship of the Migration President Mr. Deepu Jose was inaugurated by Fr. Roy Wakeparambil. Vice President Mr. Smijo Thomas welcomed everyone. The Migration Administrator Mr. Shibi Jacob gave the introductory message and Chaplain Fr. Teswin Veliyamkulathel delivered the keynote address. Immigration Secretary Mrs. Tomsi Robin presented the annual report and Treasurer Mrs. Jubi Tomsi presented the accounts. Then Fr. Ebin Kamungumparayil spoke and wished the children. Jo. Secretary Mr. Jobin Mathew expressed the vote of thanks. The amount collected by the children of the Mission League for a year through Kuduka for mission activities was handed over to Fr. Ebin Kamungumparayil at the general meeting to be distributed to the Sirhind Mission activities in Punjab with the cooperation of the Archdiocesan Mission League. As the best tent meetings of the year, St. Michael’s Tent won the first place, Infant Jesus and St. Francis Tents won the second place and Holy Angels Tent won the third place. The overall trophies of this year’s sports competitions were won by Zone 5, Zone 1 and Zone 3, respectively. In connection with the 10th anniversary, the theme song written by the immigrant members Mr. Dennis Joseph and composed by Mr. Jeffin Jose created excitement at the annual stage. The love feast and the beautiful art feast organized by the tent meetings and organizations added to the annual celebrations. The selfless service, financial contributions, active presence, cooperation and prayers of well-wishers brightened up this year’s annual celebrations. The annual celebration was led by the Chaplain of the Immigration Department, Fr. Teswin Veliyamkulathel, Administrator Mr. Shibi Jacob, the President of the Immigration Department, Mr. Deepu Jose, the office bearers Smijo Thomas, Tomsy Robin, Jubi Tomsy, Jobin Mathew, Jose Kurian, other conveners Tom Jose (Program), Alby Shibin (Cultural), Sujith Thomas (Registration), Jinto Chacko (Food), Stibin Stephen (Media), and other committee members.
